Installation Mounting Fig. 1 Position for installation Fig. 2 Wall mounting bracket Wall Ceiling Water heater Make sure that the wall can withstand at least twice the weight of the water heater when completely filled with water. Before locating the position for installation of the water heater, make sure that there is sufficient clearance between the ceiling and the side wall. -

Plumbing Make necessary plumbing with reference to the installation diagram. (Fig. 5) A. O. Smith recommends nylon/SS braided hoses having a minimum pressure rating of 8 Bar and hoses should be compatible for hot water applications. Connect the cold water pipe to the inlet [Blue Cap]. Connect the hot water pipe to the outlet [Red Cap]. -

Draining Fig. 6 Safety valve For draining water from the water heater, following steps needs to be followed: Safety Valve Switch off the electric supply to the water heater. Port Open the hot water taps until the water is not hot any more. -
