Pull the handle of the print cartridge you are replacing toward you
until you hear a snap.

Remove the print cartridge by lifting it straight out of the printer.

Store or dispose of the cartridge you remove.
Storing an extra print cartridge
If you have purchased a Photo print cartridge, we highly
recommend using a print cartridge storage unit to keep an extra
print cartridge fresh when you are not using it. For information
about ordering a print cartridge storage unit, see "Ordering
supplies" on page 61.
Disposing of a used print cartridge
Do not shake a used print cartridge. The remaining ink can leak.
Before discarding the used print cartridge, put it in a leak-proof
bag.
