6. Locate the two hex head screws that attach the
fender to the lower frame. See Figure 4.11.
NOTE: These fasteners are under the safety decal
adhered to the center of the fender between the
operators legs.
7. Using a small knife, cut around the head of each
screw.
8. Remove the two screws.
9. Remove the carriage bolt, flat washer and nut secur-
ing the front portion of the fender to the running board
bracket. Do this on both the left and right side of the
fender. See Figure 4.12.
10. Remove the knob from the shift lever on the left rear
side of the fender.Twist the knob to remove it.
11. Remove the rubber grip from the PTO engagement
lever on the right side of the fender. A blow-gun with
air pressure regulated to less than 25 PSI (1.72
Bars). may be inserted into the small hole at the end
of the rubber grip to inflate it slightly, easing removal.

12. Remove the two Torx head screws securing the lift
adjuster bracket plate to the fender. Remove the
plate. See Figure 4.13.
