4.0 About this machine and manual The JET 5”x8” Band Saw is available as a dry cutting saw or a wet cutting saw. If required, a dry cutting band saw can be retrofitted with a kit which converts it to use with cutting fluids. The use of an hydraulic feed delivers consistent, accurate cuts and longer blade life.

The saw is delivered with a blade adequate for a variety of jobs on a variety of common materials. However, JET's blades, while appropriate to many shop cutting needs, don't begin to exhaust the wide variety of special blades available for special cutting jobs.
