Trusted Platform Module Header
This header is used to connect a Trusted
Platform Module (TPM), available separately
from a third-party vendor. A TPM is a
security device that allows encryption and
authentication of hard drives, disallowing
access if the TPM associated with it is not
installed in the system. See the table on the
right for pin defi nitions.
JP3 Adapter Card Connector
JP3 Adapter card connector slot provides
front access to the power supply, serial ATA
and Front Panel Control connections for
the H8DGT series motherboards. Plug an
Adapter card into this connector to use the
functions indicated above. This connector
is designed specifi cally for a Supermicro-
proprietary adapter card.
Infi niBand Connector (2022TG-HIBQRF
only)
The H8DGT-HIBQF serverboard includes
a single QDR (quad data rate) speed
Infi niBand QSFP connector located at JB1
on the serverboard.
The JIB1 jumper must be enabled to use the
Infi niBand connector on the serverboard (see
section 5-10). LED indicators on the board
indicate use and activity on the Infi niBand
connector (see section 5-11 for details).
