To clean the adhesive build-up in the printer:

If the printer is still on, press

Pull the cover latch and open the printer cover.

Use a cotton swab with a few drops of at least 95% Isopropyl
alcohol (>= 95% IPA) and wipe away the adhesive.

Close the cover firmly so that you can hear and feel that it
latches.
[Power] to switch it off.

E. Replacing the Platen & Wrap rollers
Your platen roller will wear out faster if you use the printer
to print on tubes. So you may want to keep one set of
platen and wrap rollers for tube printing and another set
for label printing.
As time passes, the print quality may deteriorate visibly because
the bottom part of the platen roller has worn out significantly
You should then replace the rollers:

If the printer is still on, press

With one hand, press
and hold the wrap roller
latch.
