This chapter provides further details about these connectivity settings, as well as instructions on how to log in to the router for further configuration.

Select Basic Settings under Setup in the main menu. The content you see in the Basic Settings screen depends on whether your ISP requires that you log in with a user name and password for Internet access.

You can back up (save) this file and retrieve it later. NETGEAR recommends that you save your configuration file after you complete the configuration. If the router fails or becomes corrupted, or an administrator password is lost, you can easily re-create your configuration by restoring the configuration file.
