1 Can you use a non-Ultra ATA cable with an Ultra ATA device?
b No, you must use an Ultra ATA cable with an Ultra ATA device. Using
a non-ATA cable may give unpredictable results and may lead to data
loss. See page 10 for more information.
2 During the flashing of the BIOS, there is a power failure. How can the
system be recovered?
b Use the Crisis Recovery process, as described in this Familiarization
Guide, to restore the contents of the corrupted EEPROM. See page 13
for more information.
3 After changing the order of the IDE hard disk drive on the IDE cable,
nothing is changed in the Boot/Hard disk drive list. Can you explain why?
c The boot order is not determined by the physical location of the IDE
hard disk on the IDE cable. This is possible because the BIOS and the
IDE controller are able to recognize the original boot disk. See page 15
for more information.
4 What must be verified before you change the system board?
