Adjusting the seat angle

CAUTION! Adjusting the seat tilt or the backrest angle changes the geometry of the
mobility device and directly influences its tipping stability!
• For details regarding tipping stability, negotiating gradients and obstacles and the correct
adjustment of seat tilt or backrest angle, please see chapters "Taking Obstacles" on page
40 and "Driving up and down gradients" on page 42.

Electric

Please consult the user manual for your remote for information about electrical adjustment.
Information on models with electric seat angle adjuster
If your wheelchair is fitted with an electric seat angle adjuster, it is also fitted with a microswitch
which automatically reduces the speed as soon as the seat angle exceeds around 15°. To
increase speed again, please readjust the seat angle to bring it into an almost vertical position.
9.5.2

Manual

You can set the seat angle manually to 0°, 4° or 8°. The factory setting is 4°.
The seat angle is adjusted using four perforated strips which are located under the seat frame.
Note
Activate the motor brakes (engage motor) before adjusting the seat angle!
Only adjust the seat angle manually if nobody is sitting in the seat!
