What to do if ...

If the hob does not function correctly, please carry out the following checks as it may be something you can
remedy yourself.
Symptoms
Humming noise
Colour changes occur on the hob.
The cooking zones do not function.
The cooking zones cannot be
switched on.
Only the residual temperature dis-
play "H" appears in the displays.
The displays have gone out.
After the hob is switched off, the
residual heat indicator "H" in the dis-
play does not switch itself on.
One of the cooking zones cannot be
switched off.
When the cooking field is damaged (glass fractures, cracks, breakages) or the set operational fault is not listed
in the list above, immediately disconnect the appliance from the mains and contact your local Zanussi Service
Force Center.
In-guarantee customers should ensure that the above checks have been made as the engineer will make a
charge if the fault is not a mechanical or electrical breakdown.
Please note that proof of purchase is required for any in-guarantee service calls.

Certain pans can cause slight humming. This in no way impairs the
function of the cooking field.
This is not a change in the material. Rather, it is burned-in residues
which were not removed regularly. They have no influence on the
function and the durability of glass ceramic surfaces.
Ensure:
• That the fuses are in order.
• That the hob is switched on.
• That the cooking zone is switched on.
• That the cooking zones are not locked.
• That the heating power is set.
• That the pan is suitable for induction.
Ensure:
• That the hob is not locked.
• That the 10 seconds (between the moment in which you should

select a cooking zone) has not elapsed.
• That you press the key correctly (over the entire key diameter).
• That certain keys are not accidentally covered (by a cloth etc.).
• That the hob was not prematurely switched off by a current inter-
ruption.
Ensure:
• That the On/Off key was not pressed.
• That certain keys are not accidentally covered (by a cloth etc.).
Ensure:
• That the power supply is not interrupted.
• If the cooking zone was not switched on for long enough so that a
temperature of 60°C to be released and the residual heat display
could switch itself on.
• When the cooking zone is hot enough (above 60°C) and "H" is not
indicated, inform your local Service Force Center.
Ensure:
• That certain keys are not accidentally covered (by a cloth etc.).
