Disconnect the fuel line if a fuel joint is
provided on the outboard motor.

Place the tilt lock lever in the release po-
sition.
4.
Hold the rear of the top cowling with one
hand, tilt the engine up, and turn the tilt
support lever to the lock position and
support the engine.

Procedure for tilting down (manual
tilt models)
1.
Slightly tilt the engine up.
2.
On models equipped with a tilt support
knob, pull it out.
3.
Slowly tilt the engine down.
