Using the MHEG5 application (UK only)

Some services bring you programmes with the MHEG
(Multimedia and Hypermedia Expert Group) application
encoded, letting you experience DTV interactively.
When provided, the MHEG5 application will start when you
press .
• If not available, you will access the Teletext
feature. If neither are available, the TV will display
a message saying that no information is available.

Software Upgrade (Auto)

The software can be upgraded when necessary via an
Over Air Download.

When you press to enter standby mode, a message
displays that a software upgrade is available.
• To upgrade the software now, select Yes, and
then press OK. Follow the screen prompts.
• To postpone the upgrade, select No, and then
press OK.

After the upgrade is completed, the TV restarts
automatically with the new software version installed.
NOTE:
• Check the new software version to confirm the
successful upgrade. (See page 25.)
• The software upgrade may take up to 30 minutes
to complete, depending on the signal status.
While updating, you cannot switch to TV or
external input mode or enter standby mode using
on the remote control unit.
CAUTION:
• Do not disconnect the AC cord when the
software upgrade is in progress, as this may
cause the upgrade to fail. If problem arises,
ask a qualified service personnel before the
software upgrade period expires.
