This unit can record a performance played on a guitar or a
bass that is connected to its GUITAR IN jack. The audio file
format used for recording is always 44.1 kHz, 16-bit WAV.
In addition, this unit can also mix the input signal and an
audio file that is playing back and record both together
(overdubbing).
Setting the location where recorded
files are saved
You can set the location where recorded files are saved. (See
"Folder operations" on page 55.)
If you do not set a destination, files will be saved directly in
the MUSIC folder.

Adjusting the input level

You can adjust the level of the guitar/bass input.
Use the INPUT volume control on the right side panel to
adjust the input level of the GUITAR IN jack.
The PEAK indicator to the right of the display lights red
just before the recording level begins to distort. Play the
connected guitar or bass at the loudest level that will occur
during recording, and set the INPUT level as high as possible
without making the PEAK indicator light red.
CAUTION
In order to hear the sound that you are recording through the
GUITAR IN jack, the G.IN icon (
(lights letters on a dark background). If it is not highlighted,
press the
button to enable it.
