The coffee bean container is empty. A message will
soon appear in the display window.
Wait until the grinder makes no noise at all, then
refill the bean container with coffee beans.
Is the appliance door closed properly?
The water temperature could be too high. The
machine will remain off until the water has cooled.
There could be stones among the coffee beans,
in which case the machine will turn off automati-
cally within 20 seconds to prevent damage.
– Call the Miele Technical Service Department.
Was the coffee grinder set to the finest grind se-
lection or to the maximum quantity of coffee selec-
tion?
The coffee grinding is a timed process that depends
on the fineness of the grind and the quantity of
beans being ground. Therefore, depending on the
type of beans being used, setting the fineness at
minimum and quantity at maximum may not allow
enough time for the process to be completed. This
would result in coffee not being brewed.
Set the grinder on a coarser setting or select a
smaller quantity of coffee.
The coffee is too coarsely ground.
Set the grinder on a finer setting.
