Setting the serving sizes
The flavor of the coffee produced depends on the
type of coffee, how finely the beans are ground and
the quantity of water used. Espresso, coffee and
tea cups vary in size. To ensure the machine uses
exactly the amount of water to suit your taste and
your cups, there is a choice of four different serving
sizes (max. 8 oz. or 250 ml):
three serving sizes for espresso/coffee and one for
tea.
The coffee serving buttons are designed for the fol-
lowing types of coffee:
The espresso button a dispenses a standard size
espresso to be served in a standard espresso cup.
The coffee button b dispenses coffee for a stand-
ard size coffee cup. It uses the same quantity of
ground coffee as an espresso, but adds more water.
The long coffee button c dispenses a long coffee,
suitable for a large coffee cup or mug. Again, only
the volume of water is increased, resulting in a
milder flavor.
The volume of water dispensed by each button can
be adjusted to your taste.
Have the correct size of cup available to carry out
the following steps.
