To mark a position to play again (Marker).
Press [q] to highlight the first asterisk and press
[ENTER] again to mark a position.
You can mark up to 5 positions.
To mark another position: [w, q] ➡ [ENTER]

To recall a marker: [w, q] ➡ [ENTER]
To erase a marker: [w, q] ➡ [CANCEL]
This feature does not work during program and
random play.
Advanced Disc Review
(except +R/+RW)
DVD-V DVD-VR
Allows you to browse the disc contents and start playing
from the selected position. You can select either "Intro
Mode" or "Interval Mode".(➡ Advanced Disc Review,
page 21.)

(Reduce the rough noise in the background to give a

When you select "480p" or "576p" (progressive) and
a confirmation screen appears. Select "Yes" only
if connecting to a progressive output compatible
television.

The numbers displayed depend on the disc being
played. One of the above numbers is displayed.

If you have chosen "480p" or "576p" (progressive)
(➡ see above), select the method of conversion for
video output to suit the type of material.
When you play NTSC disc
Auto1 (normal): Automatically detects the film and
video content, and appropriately converts it.
Auto2: In addition to Auto1, automatically detects film
contents with different frame rates and appropriately
converts it.
Video: Select when using Auto1 and Auto2, and the
video content is distorted.
When you play PAL discs, MPEG4 or DivX video
Auto: Automatically detects the film and video content,
and appropriately converts it.
Video: Select when using Auto, and the content is
distorted.
Cinema: Select this if the edges of the
film content appear jagged or rough when
Auto is selected. However, if the video
content is distorted as shown in the
illustration, then select Auto.
Source Select
DivX
When you select "Auto" the constructing method of
the DivX contents is automatically distinguished and
output. If the picture is distorted, select "I (Interlace) or "P
(Progressive)" depending on which constructing method
was used when the contents were recorded to disc.
