Introduction
The HomePatrol‐1 v2 Extreme Edition firmware
introduces features never before found in a consumer
communications receiver. Targeted to the advanced user,
it turns your HomePatrol‐1 into a tool suitable for
discovering new channels, analyzing known systems, and
complete flexibility in the field.
In order to use the Extreme Edition features, you need to
apply a registration key, available for purchase at
www.Uniden.com. This key unlocks the following
Extreme features:

HomePatrol‐1's touch‐screen interface. New
channel settings include:
o Per‐Channel Delay
o Channel Alerts
o Volume Offset
o Service Type
Trunked System Analyzers – let you view and
review trunked system status and activity.
Includes separate sections for:

o Activity Log
o Talk Group Converter
EDACS / LTR LCN Finder – analyzes system traffic
to determine the LCN assignments for EDACS and
LTR systems.
Band Scope – Graphically indicates the received
signal level across a range of frequencies to help
identify RF signal sources.
RF Power Plot – Graphically indicates the
received signal level for a single frequency over
time to help locate RF signal sources and to
determine the effect of other factors on
received signal strength.
Trunking Discovery – monitors system traffic on a
trunked radio system to find unknown channels.
Automatically records audio from and logs newly
discovered channels for later review and
identification.
Conventional Discovery – searches a range of
frequencies to find unknown signals (signals on
frequencies not already know to be in use in your
area). Automatically records audio from and logs
newly discovered channels for later review and
identification.
Limit Search – searches a range of frequencies
for activity.
Raw Data Output – outputs raw binary data
based on the received signal and data slicing
parameters you set.
