Installing the GPS Anttenna
• Do not install the GPS antenna in a place where it may interfere with the driver's visual range.
• Do not use the navigation system with the GPS antenna lead cut off. The power cables in the
lead may be short-circuited.
Note:
• Install the GPS antenna more than 50 cm away from the navigation unit and other such devices such as CD
player, TV antenna and radar detector. If it is installed near these devices, GPS reception may be impaired.
• It is recommended the GPS antenna be sited towards the centre of the road within the vehicle, but at least
10 cm away from the windows minimising GPS signal interruption from buildings.
• Do not wax or paint the cover of the GPS antenna as this could hinder its performance.
Installation outside the vehicle using the Magnet (i.e. roof
mounted)
1. Attach the GPS antenna carefully so as not to damage the body.
