4-6 Printing Quality settings

About the printing quality settings
It is possible to perform printing quality settings for the 4 items shown in the following chart.
For the most efficient use of the printer functions, select the various settings according to your printing needs.

Tone mode

The Tone mode select the way the printer handled a pixel
for representing the color and halftoning for each pixcel -
Normal or Fine. The Fine tone mode uses four bit
smoothhalftone for photographs, image, etc.: and the
Normal tone mode uses a two -bit halfttone for text, solid
objext, etc. Either of these tone modes consistently
affectts all objects on a page.

Gloss mode

When "Hight" is selected, enables print out with a glossy
finish.

Remarks
The Fine tone mode procides the
print quality than Normal, but the
printing speed is slower and more
memory is required. To enable the
printing in Fine tone mode 4(bpp) on
A3 or B4 with duplex printing, the
minimum printer memory
requirement is 160 MB.
If "Low" is selected here, the print
speed will be higher than when "High"
is selected.
