Problem Guide

PROBLEM: No power to food processor.
CAUSE: Damaged Power Cord.
SOLUTION: Replace Power Cord.
PROBLEM: No power to food processor.
CAUSE: User's power receptacle is not supplying power to the food processor.
SOLUTION: Check the power supply receptacle to make sure its "hot." Check receptacle breaker and/or receptacle wiring.
PROBLEM: No power to food processor.
CAUSE: Faulty ON/OFF/PULSE switch.
SOLUTION: Replace ON/OFF/PULSE switch.
PROBLEM: Food processor runs intermittently.
CAUSE: Disconnected or broken wires.
SOLUTION: Check wire connections. Repair if necessary.
PROBLEM: Food processor runs intermittently.
CAUSE: Faulty motor.
SOLUTION: Check motor. If faulty, remove and replace.
PROBLEM: Food processor runs intermittently.
CAUSE: Faulty Power Cord or Switch Assembly.
SOLUTION: Check Power Cord and/or Switch Assembly. If faulty, remove and replace.
PROBLEM: Food processor does not run at some selections
CAUSE: Faulty Switch Assembly
SOLUTION: Remove and replace the Switch Assembly.
PROBLEM: Fluid leaks inside of the food processor housing.
CAUSE: Worn or damaged Motor Oil Seal.
SOLUTION: Replace Motor Seal.
PROBLEM: Fluid leaks into food processor through control panel.
CAUSE: 7 Cup – Switch Panel Assembly Seal is worn or damaged.
SOLUTION: Replace Escutcheon Seal.
PROBLEM: Fluid leaks into food processor through control panel.
CAUSE: Switch Panel Assembly Overlay is worn or damaged.
SOLUTION: Replace the Switch Panel Assembly Overlay.
PROBLEM: Fluid leaks into food processor through control panel.
CAUSE: Switch Panel Assembly mounting screws have loosened.
SOLUTION: Tighten the Switch Panel Assembly mounting screws.
PROBLEM: Food processor does not seat firmly on work surface.
CAUSE: Worn or damaged Foot and/or Feet.
SOLUTION: Replace worn or damaged Pedestal Foot/Feet.
