SPLASH PROOF SWITCH LEVER/TORSION
SPRING REPLACEMENT
7 CUP FOOD PROCESSORS -
To replace the splash proof switch lever/torsion spring for the 7
cup food processor:
1.
Unplug the power cord and remove the housing base.
2.
Perform steps 1 – 5 of the SAFETY SWITCH
REPLACEMENT procedure.
3.
Rotate the switch lever towards the inside of the motor
housing until the striker post is clear of the motor housing.
4.
Carefully pull up on the lever and remove it from the lever
mounting boss on the motor housing. Make sure not to
damage the torsion spring if it is to be reused.
5.
If damaged, remove the torsion spring by pulling it off the
lever mounting boss.

With the bottom of the motor housing facing up and the
switch assembly face orientated towards the top, insert the
torsion spring over the lever mounting boss with the "L-
shaped end towards the right and facing up. Make sure
the straight end of the spring is located between the safety
switch mounting boss and the motor housing. Make sure
the spring is fully seated at the bottom of the lever
mounting boss.
7.
Using a small screw driver, apply enough tension to the L-
shaped end of the spring to allow the switch lever to be
mounted over the lever mounting boss. The L-shaped end
of the spring must seat into the v-profile on the back side
of the switch lever. Make sure the switch lever and the
torsion spring are properly located and seated in the motor
housing.
