It is important that you read these instructions carefully before using
These warnings are provided in the interest of your safety.
• Always remove the mains plug from the wall socket before attempting any
form of user maintenance or cleaning specified in this booklet.
• Do not carry or drag your vacuum cleaner by the mains supply cable.
• Always ensure that the mains supply cable is not damaged in any way.
• Do not pull on the mains supply cable to remove the mains plug from the wall
socket.
• Keep the mains supply cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges and rough
surfaces.
• If the mains supply cable is damaged, it should be replaced by an authorised
Electrolux service agent or similarly qualified person in order to prevent a
hazard.
• It is dangerous to alter the specifications or modify the product.
• This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons
without supervision.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• Never leave the vacuum cleaner running unattended.
• If the appliance falls on its side, switch off the power immediately and stand
it upright before re-using.
• Never pick up hot ash, lighted cigarette ends or anything that is burning or
smoking.
• Do not vacuum up inflammable or combustible substances or use in areas
where they may be present.
• Do not immerse appliance in water or expose it to rain.
• Store appliance away from high heat sources.
• All filters should be replaced or cleaned at regular intervals as stated in these
operating instructions.
• Do not use this appliance for wet vacuuming without the sponge filter installed.
• Do not use the appliance for dry vacuuming without the sponge and paper
filters installed.
• Always empty waste from bucket especially after wet cleaning. (Leaving wet
or damp waste in the bucket will cause unpleasant odours and cause
bacterial growth.)
• Do not use petroleum or mineral spirits to clean the appliance. When cleaning
the suction hose, bucket or accessories, use a soft cloth and warm soapy
water only.
• Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
Repairs undertaken by unauthorised or inexperienced persons may cause
injury and/or serious malfunctioning of the appliance.
• This appliance should be serviced by authorised Electrolux personnel and
only genuine Electrolux spare parts should be used. Failure to do so may
render the warranty void.
