HOW TO CARE FOR
YOUR MACHINE

Filter maintenance:

Remove the cloth filter (4) and
dust it off. (DO NOT BANG IT
AGAINST THE WALL.) This
should be done on a regular
basis. When it becomes clogged
it should be washed in warm
soapy water. Ensure that the
cloth filter (4) is dry before you
refit it to the vacuum cleaner.

Storage:

Before putting your vacuum cleaner
away the following should be done:
Empty the solution tank (22).
Fill the solution tank (22) with
fresh water.
Put the solution tank (22) back
into the bucket (5) and switch
the vacuum cleaner and pump
on. This is to rinse out any
shampoo still in the vacuum
cleaner, then empty any
remaining water in the solution
tank (22).
Empty the bucket (5) of any
waste and allow it to dry
thoroughly.
Wash and dry all the wet nozzles
(15, 20 & 21) extension tubes
(13) and hose (10) before
packing it away.
Wash the foam filter (16) with
soapy water and allow it to dry.
IMPORTANT: Never place your
vacuum cleaner in storage before
performing the above mentioned
steps.

Other machine care:

Never use your vacuum cleaner
without the protective filter in
place. It protects the motor. It is
seated on the underside of the
drive unit. See fig. 30.
When the filter is dirty, it should
be washed with soapy water and
left to dry. Make sure it is
completely dry before
replacing it. If it is damaged it
should be replaced.
Never rest the drive unit as
shown in fig. 31 because if it
falls, the latches can break.
