Clutch lever
(fig. 18)
The clutch lever (1) is fitted with a span adjuster (2) which
serves to alter the distance of the lever from the handlebar.
To make the adjustment, keep the lever (1) fully forward and
turn the wheel (2) to one of the four preset positions.
Note that:
position n° 1 corresponds to the maximum distance
between the lever and grip, while position n° 4
E
corresponds to the minimum distance.
When the clutch lever (1) is operated, drive from the
engine to the gearbox and the rear wheel is disengaged.
Correct use of the clutch lever is very important in all
riding situations, especially when moving off.
Warning
Set the clutch and brake lever with the motorcycle
stopped.
Important
Using the clutch properly will prolong the life of the
engine and prevent any damage to components in the
transmission.
Notes
It is possible to start the engine with the side stand
down and the gearbox in neutral. When starting the
motorcycle with a gear engaged, pull the clutch lever
(in this case the side stand must be up).
