Touring your Joybook

Depending on the model of your Joybook, the appearance may be different
from the illustrations shown in this manual.

Front view

(1) Built-in camera (QEye)
A 1.3 megapixel built-in camera (QEye) that allows you to hold a video
conference, capture images, or record videos. For details, refer to
QEye (available on selected models)" on page

Receives sounds and voices for recording.

Five-in-One memory card slot
For a Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, SD, MMC, or xD memory card.

Microphone input socket
Can be used to connect to a microphone for recording sounds.
This socket is for standard analog audio using 3.5mm mono plugs only.
Earphone/SPDIF audio output socket

Can be used to connect to an earphone/headset or external speaker for
playing Joybook audio.
SPDIF (Sony-Philips Digital Interface Format) is a fibre optic digital audio
outlet for 'Mini Optical' 3.5mm plugs. It shares a common socket in the
Joybook with a standard analog audio outlet for 3.5mm stereo plugs.
• To activate SPDIF, go to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, and select
Sound. Select SPDIF Interface under the Playback tab, click Set Default,
and then click OK.
• Supported digital audio formats: DTS, Dolby Digital, and Microsoft WMA
Pro Audio.

Wireless button

Press this button to activate/deactivate wireless devices like Bluetooth and
WLAN. Make sure this button is "ON" before using <Fn>+ <F12>. For

Power
Turns your Joybook on or off.
QShot
Allows you to capture desktop images, still images from movies and
DTV programs, and real-time images from QEye, in one touch. For

BenQ Surround
Allows you to turn on or turn off SRS TruSurround XT in your Sound
Manager in one touch.
