5 Point the remote at the compo-
nent to control and enter the
4-digit code.
If there's more than one code, enter the
first one.
The LED blinks after each button press,
and twice to confirm a valid code has been
input. If it doesn't blink twice, you have
entered an invalid code: check the code
and input it again.
If all went well, the remote should have
just switched off the other component. If it
didn't, and the manufacturer has more
than one code in the list, start again from
step 1 using another code.
Reassigning a MULTI
CONTROL button
You can only assign preset codes for
certain kinds of components to each
button. However, if
MULTI CONTROL
necessary, you can reassign a
button to a different kind of
CONTROL
component. You would need to do this if
you connected an MD recorder to the Video
1 inputs/outputs, for example.
1 Press and hold REMOTE SETUP
for three seconds.
The LED on th etop of the remote will
blink twice.
2 Press the MULTI CONTROL
button which you want to
change.
You can reassign these buttons:
• V-1
• V-2
• A-1
• A-2
• TV
In the above example, press V-1.
3 Use the number buttons to
enter 992.
4 Press the MULTI CONTROL
button which you want dupli-
cated.
In the above example, press A-1.
5 Pointez la télécommande vers le

Le LED clignote à chaque pression d'une

deux fois, vous avez entré un code
erronné : vérifez le code et entrez-le à
nouveau.
Si tous les pas ont été effectués
correctement, la télécommande devrait
simplement éteindre l'autre composant.
Dans le cas contraire, et si le fabricant a plus
d'un code dans la liste, redémarrez à partir
de l'opération 1 en utilisant un autre code.
