2. Using the start button
With the throttle 1/8 1/4 open, press
the start button.
Using the kickstarter
Lightly depress the kickstarter until
resistance is felt.
Then let kickstarter return to the top of
its stroke.
With the throttle 1/8 1/4 open, operate
the kickstarter.
Kick from the top of the stroke through
to the bottom with a rapid, continuous
motion.
3. Immediately after the engine starts, push
the choke lever ( ) down to the Halfway 1
Position ( ). B
4. Warm up the engine by opening and
closing the throttle slightly.
5. Continue warming up the engine until it
runs smoothly and responds to the
throttle, when the choke lever ( ) is at
Fully OFF ( ). C

Warm Engine:
(XR125LEK)
1. Do not use the choke.
2. Start the engine following step 2 under
''Cold Engine''.
(XL125LK)
Cold Engine:
1. Pull the choke lever ( ) up all the way to
Fully ON ( ).
2. Lightly depress the kickstarter until
resistance is felt.
Then let kickstarter return to the top of
its stroke.
With the throttle 3 mm open, operate the
kickstarter.
Kick from the top of the stroke through
to the bottom with a rapid, continuous
motion.
