Special Spare
The spare tire of your car is what is called a "Special Spare". This is embossed on the tire. See
illustration.
The Special Spare has designation 155R15.
Tire pressure must be 40 psi (280 kPa) irrespective of load or in which position the wheel is placed.
In the event of damage to this tire a new one can be purchased from your Volvo dealer.

Changing a tire
The spare tire is located in the trunk, beneath the carpet.
The crank handle is located beneath the carpet next to the spare tire. The jack and tool bag are located in
a compartment on the floor on the right-hand side of the trunk.
Before using the jack, make sure the car is standing on firm, level ground.
Apply the parking brake.
Place the transmission selector lever in position P.
Block the wheels standing on the ground with wooden blocks or large stones.
