Driving Your Econoline

Procedures for driving your vehicle will vary
depending on which type of transmission your
vehicle has.
an Automatic Transmission (C-6)
an Electronic 4-speed Automatic Transmission
(E4OD)
an Electronic 4-speed Automatic Transmission
(4R7OW)
Your vehicle is equipped with an Electronic
Powertrain Control Module that limits engine
and/or vehicle speeds with a cut-out mode to
promote durability.

Operation (C-6)

Putting Your Vehicle in Gear

Your vehicle's gearshift is on the steering
column. You can put the gearshift in any of
several positions.
NOTE: Do not rest your hand on the gearshift
lever while driving your vehicle
because you could cause the gearshift
lever to move out of position.
