Removing a 10-Gigabit Ethernet XFP Transceiver Module

The XFP transceiver is a static-sensitive device. Always use an ESD wrist strap or similar individual

grounding device when handling XFP transceivers or coming into contact with modules.
If you are removing an XFP transceiver, follow these steps:
Disconnect the network interface cable from the XFP transceiver connectors. Immediately reinstall the

Pivot the XFP transceiver bale clasp up to release the XFP transceiver from the socket (see
