Looping stroke

Standard checking
The looping stroke is the way of the needle bars from the bottom dead
centre to the point where the hook tips 3 are at the level of the middle
of needle 4.
The looping stroke is 2 mm.
It is set with the locking peg (order number 0211 000700).
Caution: Danger of injury !
Switch the main switch off.
Check and adjust the looping stroke only with the sewing unit switched
off.
Remove the throat plate.
Remove the bobbin case top parts 1 with the bobbins.
Bring the machine head in looping stroke position by handwheel
and stake it out with the locking peg.
Check the position of the hook tips to the needles.
Correction
Remove throat plate, bobbin case top parts and bobbins.
Swing the sewing machine head upwards.
Remove the plastic stoppers 2.
Loosen the screws under the plastic stoppers.
Lock the machine in looping stroke position.
Turn the hook manually until the hook tips are at the level of the
middle of the needle.
Tighten the first of the screws located under the plastic stoppers 2.
Remove the locking peg.
Keep on turning the machine and tighten the second screw.
Press the plastic stoppers 2 into the drill-holes again.
