SECTION 7—SEAT/BACK
After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure all attaching
hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may occur.

REMOVING/INSTALLING SEAT UPHOLSTERY

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 7.1.

REMOVING SEAT UPHOLSTERY

1. If necessary, remove the seat cushion from the wheelchair.
2. Do one (1) of the following:
A. 16-inch Deep Wheelchairs - Remove
the eight (8) mounting screws and
washers that secure the existing seat
upholstery to the crossbraces.
B. 18-inch Deep Wheelchairs - Remove
the ten (10) mounting screws and
washers that secure the existing seat
upholstery to the crossbraces.
3. Remove existing seat upholstery from
crossbraces.
4. Install new/existing seat upholstery.
Refer to Installing Seat Upholstery on
page 39.

INSTALLING SEAT UPHOLSTERY

1. Align the mounting holes of the new/existing seat upholstery to the mounting holes
in the crossbraces.
2. Do one (1) of the following:
A. 16-inch Deep Wheelchairs - Install the eight (8) mounting screws and washers to
secure the new/existing seat upholstery to the crossbraces.
B. 18-inch Deep Wheelchairs - Install the ten (10) mounting screws and washers to
secure the new/existing seat upholstery to the crossbraces.
3. If necessary, reinstall the seat cushion onto the wheelchair.
