6.12 Shutdown Procedure

When turning off the UPS, the following shutdown procedure should be used.
1) Move the RUN/STOP key switch of the UPS to STOP. Operation of the inverter halts.
Output power is now provided to the load via the bypass circuit. If a power failure occurs in
the commercial power source while in this state, the UPS will lose power and power to the
load will be interrupted. The battery charging circuit and chopper circuit will remain active.
DANGER
The LCD display shows the following message when in the Bypass operating mode:
Move the MCCB power switch to Off. Power is removed from the UPS and to any attached
loads. All lamps are off and the LCD display shows the following message so long as there is
sufficient power to display it:
Emergency Power Off activation trips the MCCB and power is removed from the UPS and to
any connected loads (see Section 6.6 "EPO Function"). All LEDs are off and the LCD display
will show the following message:

Do not touch the UPS terminals even though the operation switch
has been moved to the STOP position. The UPS may be supplying
power through the bypass circuit.
