ChuteAssembly
Remove l ocknutsandscrews securing oneof the flangekeepers to the chute
assembly. Loosen the fasteners of the othertwo flangekeepers. SeeFigure
4.

Place chuteassembly ontochutebaseasshownin Figure 5.Makesurethat
the chutenotches engage with the spiral e ndofchutedirectional c ontrol,
andthe two flangekeepers arebeneath the flangeonthe chutebase.

Secure flangekeeper r emoved earlierwith locknutsandscrews. Tighten
downnutssecuring the othertwo flangekeepers. SeeFigure 4.

ChuteClean-Out Tool
Never u seyourhands to clearacloggedchuteassembly. Shut o ffengine and
remainbehindhandles untilall movingpartshavestoppedbeforeusingthe
clean-out t ool to clearthe chuteassembly.
Achuteclean-out t ool isfastened to the top of the augerhousingwitha mounting
clip.SeeFigure 6. The tool is designed to clearachuteassembly o f iceandsnow.
Thisitem isfastened with acabletie at the factoryforshippingpurposes. Youmay
cut thecabletie at thistime.

discharge c huteinto the cableguideon topof the engine.SeeFigure 5.

loosely installedon eachsideof the lowerhandleatthe factory.Pullthe
cabletiestight to secure. C ut t he excess f rom the endsof cableties.

purposes.

Remove t he fourwingknobs(two on eachside)andcarriage bolts. Place
drift cutterin uprightpositionandre-secure. S eeFigure 7.
