Shave Plate and Skid Shoes
Theshave plateandskidshoes on the bottomofthe snowthroweraresubjectto
wear. T heyshouldbechecked periodically andreplaced whennecessary.
Skid Shoes
NOTE: The skidshoes on thismachine havetwo wearedges. W henoneside
wearsout,theycanberotated180 °to usethe otheredge.
1.
Remove t he sixcarriage boltsandhexnutsthatsecure the two skidshoes to
the sides ofthe augerhousing. R eferto Figure 24.
2.
Position the newskidshoes andsecure with the carriage boltsandhexnuts.
Makecertainthe skidshoes areadjusted to belevel.
Shave
Plate
1.
Remove t he hexnutsandcarriage boltsthat secure the shaveplatetothe
bottomofthe housing. R efer t o Figure 24.
2.
Remove t he rearmosthexnut andcarriage bolt securing the backof each
skidshoeto the sides ofthe housing.Loosen the fourremaininghexnuts
securing the skidshoes.
3.
Slide the shaveplateout ofthe off-setslotat the bottomof the housing, a nd
from betweenthe skidshoes andsidepanelsofthe housing.
4.
With the mountingholestowardthe back of the unit, slidethe newshave
plateinto positionandsecure withthe fasteners removed previously.

Shift Cable
If the full rangeof speeds (forwardandreverse) c annotbeachieved, referto the
Figure 25andadjustthe shift cableasfollows:
1.
Place the shift leverinthe fastestforwardspeed position.
2.
Loosen the hex nut onthe shift cableindexbracket. S eeFigure 25.
3.
Pivotthe bracket d ownwardtotake upslackinthe cable.
4.
Retighten the hexnut.

Loosen the two nutswhichsecure thechutebracket a ndreposition it
slightly.See Figure 26.

Retighten the nuts.

Thedistance snowisthrowncanbeadjustedbyadjustingthe angleof the chute
assembly. R efer t o the Operation sectionforinstructions.
Theremotechutecontrolcables havebeenpre-adjusted at the factory.Movethe
remote chuteleveronthe controlpanelforwardto pivot the upperchutedown;
movethe leverrearwardto pivotthe upperchuteup.
