4.1 Description of Alarms

There are eight conditions which generate both aural and visual
alarms in this unit.
Arrival alarm (waypoint arrival alarm)
The arrival alarm informs you that your boat is approaching a des-
tination waypoint. The area that defines an arrival zone is that of a
circle which you approach from the outside of the circle. The alarm
will be released if your boat enters the circle.
Anchor watch alarm
The anchor watch alarm sounds to warn you that your boat is mov-
ing when it should be at rest.
Arrival alarm

XTE (Cross Track Error) alarm
The XTE alarm warns you when your boat is off its intended course.
ALM range
Alarm
sounds.

Speed alarm
The speed alarm sounds when your boat's speed is within (or over)
the alarm range set.
