3 Focus.
Press the shutter button halfway to focus. If the flash will fire, [] will be displayed when
the shutter button is pressed halfway. At slow shutter speeds, _" will appear in the
display to warn that pictures may be blurred; use of a tripod is recommended.

4 Shoot.
Pressthe shutter button the rest of the way down to shoot.
[M Caution
Tile flash may fire several times with each shot. Do not move the camera until shooting is com-
plete.

The peripheral part of an image may be dark when using tile flash.
Red-Eye R emoval
\A/hen Intelligent Face Detection is active (_ 32),and ON is selected for [] RED EYE REMOVAL in
tile setup menu (_ 84), red-eye removal isavailable in _, ®€, and _.
Red-eye removal minimizes "red-eye" caused when light from tile flash is reflected from tile subject's
retinas asshown in tile illustration at right.
