Quick Links

1. Select the mounting locations for the Device and Antenna. Do not mount the Device or the
Antenna under the hood or ex pose to outside elements.
2. Make sure the "SIM Card Lock" is positioned to the locked position (to the left). The device w i l l
not obtain a cellular connection if i t is not in the locked position
3. The Antenna is designed to mount inside the vehicle. The "AIRWARD" emblem re presents the
top of the Antenna, and must face up (skyward). The side with the adhesive (3M Ta pe) must
face down if it is a square antenna. NOTE: If you are using a round antenna the side with
the adhesive (3M Tape) must be up. I t is strongly recommended that the Antenna be
mounted under the vehicle dash in a hidden location with line of sight to the sky through the
windshield. The Antenna w i l l not work if the line of sight is blocked by metal. Make sure the
glass does not have any metal film a t base as that will block the GPS signal. The antenna must
not be in contact with anything metallic, or covered by any metallic objects to work properly Do
not crimp or route antenna cables. Use caution when using tie-straps for the antenna. Over
tightening could cut off the signal to the device.
Adhesive is located on the antenna to secure placement. Adhesives such as two sided sticky tape,
Velcro, and silicone are often used to secure placement of the antenna. Two sided stick tape can
weaken under prolonged ex posure to extreme heat causing the antenna to f a l l and turn upside
down causing "Old GPS Data" information.
4. WIRING CONNECTIONS. (Make connections, but do not plug into Device)
a.
BLACK WIRE- Chassis Ground. Connect to a solid chassis ground.
b.
RED WIRE- 12V+ Constant Input. Connect to a constant 12volt power source.
***If not installing Starter Disable: ( TN-4011 only )
c.
WHITE WIRE- Connect this wire to a Switched 12 volt power source. (Ignition or Accessory)
***If installing Starter Disable: (TN-4005, TN-4006, TN-4007)
d.
WHITE WIRE- connect this wire to white relay socket wire (See relay diagram)
e.
Green Wire - (1 amp negative output) Starter Disable out put wire. Connect to the Orange Wire
on the supplied SPDT Relay and harness (See relay diagram)
f.
YELLOW WIRE- Test Wire for Starter Disable (optional)
Ground this wire momentarily (one second) after installation and harness has been connected to
the device. This will test "Starter Disable" output installation. The relay will close and open
circuit to starter for 30 seconds. If properly installed, the vehicle should not turn over/start during
this time. The test w i l l send a message into the device "History" that reads "Installation Test
Sequence." (if on Month to Month airtime program)
Place electrical tape over wire to prevent Test Wire from contacting ground in the future.
Failure to do so could result in unexpected messaging charges.

Troubleshooting 1. I’m not getting any power. a. Check the wiring. Red needs to have a constant 12v+ supply and black needs a good ground. b. Check the harness. Is it plugged in all the way? c. Has the inline fuse been blown? If there has been a surge, you may need to replace the fuse before power will flow.
