Self-help, vehicle care
7. Change the wheel.
Notes on spare wheel - see page 175.
8. Screw on wheel nuts and tig hten
slightly by hand until wheel is held
against the hub.
9. Rotate wrench anticlockwise and lower
vehicle to the g round.
10. Tighten wheel nuts in a cross-wise
sequence, putting the w rench on as far
as possible.
11. S tow replaced wheel in luggage
comp artm ent.
12. S tow the jacking equipment and
warning triangle 3 - see pag es 173,
174.
13. C heck the tyre pressure of the newly
fitted wheel - see page 219. Adjust as
nec essary .
14. Hav e the new wheel balanced on the
vehicle and have the tightening torque
of the wheel nuts check ed as soon as
possible, and if necessary, corrected.
Tightening torque - see page 218.
15. Replace defective tyre on the wheel
that was removed.
16. Replace temp orary sp are wheel with a
full specification wheel without delay .

Warnin g
Electronic ignition system s generate very
hig h voltages. Do not touch the ignition
sy stem; high voltage can b e fatal.
Fuses
There are two fuseboxes in the vehicle:
the instrument panel fusebox is loca ted on
the left-hand sid e of the driver's footwell,
the engine com partment fusebox is
located nex t to the coolant reserv oir.
It is ad visab le to ca rry a full set of fuses.
S pare fuses are kep t in the eng ine
compa rtm ent fusebox.
