Using NSS-Vote

Selecting a Voting Body

Before you begin using NSS-Vote, you must define a voting body. NSS-Vote allows one or more
groups of people to use the system and each group is represented by a voting body.
To begin:
1. Press anywhere on the main screen.
2. Once the system has initialized, you will be presented with a Voting Body Selection screen.
To use an existing voting body:
1. Select the voting body.
2. Select Load Body.
To create, edit or delete a voting body:
1. Select Body Management.
2. Enter the management password. (The default password is 1988.)
If the body requires a password, you are prompted to enter it when you attempt to load, edit or
delete the body.
If there are more than ten agenda results files on the system, you are prompted to
delete them from the system. See the Manage Results section on page 15 for more
details.
If the Enter Software Key button appears on the main screen, contact your NSS-
Vote installer. A software key needs to be entered in order to use the NSS-Vote
system.

Creating a Voting Body

To create a new voting body:
1. Select New from the voting body management menu at the bottom of the screen. You will be
prompted to enter the voting body name, up to 50 characters.
2. When you have finished, press OK.
Once you have created the voting body, you may edit the members, voting options and request to
speak options.

Editing a Voting Body

To edit a voting body:
1. Select an existing voting body.
2. Select Edit.
Once you have selected a voting body to edit, you mayedit the members, body password, voting
options and request to speak options.
