Repeat Play

Press the REPEAT button to play back repeatedly the
track being played.
The file will be played repeatedly.
Press the REPEAT button again and select OFF to
deactivate the repeat play.
NOTES
• If a CD changer applicable to MP3 is connected and the
RPT ALL mode is selected, the unit repeatedly plays back all
files on the selected disc.
→ RPT → RPT ALL → (off)
• When you select "FOLDER" and set to RPT ALL in the
"Setting the Range of MP3 File Selection" section on this
page, the Files will be repeatedly played back.
• If a CD changer applicable to MP3 is connected:
In CD changer mode, press the "F" button once to
illuminate the "FUNC" indicator and go to step 1 within 5
seconds.
M.I.X. ( Random Play )

Press the M.I.X. button in the play or pause mode.
The files on the disc will be played back in a random
sequence.
To cancel M.I.X. play, press the M.I.X. button again to
turn off the M.I.X.
NOTES
• When you select "FOLDER" and set to M.I.X. in the "Setting
the Range of MP3 File Selection" section on this page, the
Files in the Folder are played back in random sequence.
After all the files have been played back, play does not shift
to the next Folder.
• In case an MP3 compatible CD changer is connected:
In CD changer mode, press the "F" button once to illuminate
the "FUNC" indicator and go to step 1 within 5 seconds.

Scanning Programmes

Press the SCAN button to activate the Scan mode.
The first 10 seconds of each file will be played back in
succession.
To stop scanning, press the SCAN button and
deactivate the Scan mode.
NOTES
• When you select "FOLDER" in the "Setting the Range of
MP3 File Selection" section on this page, the first 10
seconds of each File in the Folder will be played back.
• If a CD changer applicable to MP3 is connected:
In CD changer mode, press the "F" button once to illuminate
the "FUNC" indicator and go to step 1 within 5 seconds.
Setting the Range of MP3 File
Selection
You can set the range of MP3 file selection to "entire
disc contents" or "folder contents only."

Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 3
seconds.

Press the f UP or g DN button to select DISC/
FOLDER (file selection range).

Press the BAND button to toggle the mode between
DISC ALL and FOLDER .
• DISC ALL : plays all the files on one disc
• FOLDER : plays files in the selected folder only.
NOTES
• The initial setting at the factory is DISC ALL.
• If a changer compatible with MP3 is used, the range of MP3
file selection applies to REPEAT, M.I.X. and SCAN modes
only. In normal mode, the unit plays all files on a disc even
when you set the range of MP3 selection to "folder contents
only."

Press the SETUP button to set the selected mode.

Playing MP3 Data

You can select either playback only of CD data, or
playback of formatted CD data and MP3 files.
When a disc contains CD or the MP3 file data,
playback starts from the CD data portion of the disc.

Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 3
seconds.

Press the f UP or g DN button to select "CD-
DA/MP3."

Press the BAND button to toggle the mode between
CD-DA and CD-DA/MP3.
• CD-DA: Only CD data can be played back.
• CD-DA/MP3: Both CD data and MP3 file tracks can
be played back.

Press the SETUP button to return to normal mode.
NOTES
• The initial setting at the factory is CDA-DA.
• Perform this setting before inserting a disc. If a disc has
already been inserted, perform the setting after you remove
the disc. (If you use an MP3 changer, you have to change
discs.)
