User Function Keys

You can program each of the User Function keys ({ { { { F1} } } } to { { { { F5} } } } ) with a function
that you use frequently. When you wish to use that function, instead of having
to search through several menus to find it, just press the appropriate User Func-
tion key.
Important
❒ When registering and editing User Function keys, we recommend that you
print out a User Function List for reference. (See p.56 "Printing Re-
ports/Lists".)

Functions You Can Assign to User Function Keys

You can program each of the User Function keys with one of the following functions.
Function Name
Reception Mode
Print Journal
TX Result Report Use this to have a result report
Fax Header Print You can turn this function on or off.
Group
Tone
Dial Option
Batch Trans.
Forwarding
Prog. Quick Dial
Monitor volume
• The "b" notation indicates that the User Function key lights when that func-
tion is selected "On".
To assign a function to a User Function key, perform the following procedure.
