(1) When wth thread clamp (moton), use the sewng machne after adjustng the needle thread length
at the start of sewng to 40 to 50 mm. When the needle thread length s too long, the needle thread
end held wth the needle thread clamp may be rolled n the seams.

When needle thread is excessively long at the time of using the thick thread, the end of nee-
dle thread held with the needle thread clamp is rolled in the seams, and slip of position of
material may occur or needle breakage may be caused.
(2) When the thread clamp s used, and bobbn thread at the sewng start appears on the rght sde of
materal, reduce thread tenson at the sewng start (2 to 3 sttches) and bobbn thread becomes less
conspcuous.
[Example of setting]
Tenson of 1 to 2 sttches at the sewng start s "20" when sewng tenson settng s "35".
* For settng of tenson at the start of sewng, see of
1. thread at the start of sewing may be rolled in case of some patterns. When thread is rolled
in even after performing adjustment of (1) or (2), use the sewing machine with thread
clamp oFF.
2. thread clamp failure may occur in the state that thread waste is jammed in the thread
clamp device. remove the thread waste referring to
"#-1-7. Needle thread clamp device"

1) In case of wth the needle thread clamp, the
standard of the length of needle thread s 40 to

needle thread by hand, turn OFF the THREAD
CLAMP key

thread clamp s rolled n the seams, when error
has occurred, or when needle thread s held
entangled wth the needle thread clamp, do
not forcbly draw the cloth, but cut the con-
nected needle thread wth scssors or the lke.
The seams cannot be broken because of the
needle thread at the start of sewng.

1) Machne the plastc blank suppled wth the
machne accordng to the sttchng shape.
2) Attach the plastc blank to the feedng frame as
illustrated in the figure.
use a sponge sheet or rubber sheet
supplied with the machine in combina-
tion with the plastic blank, if neces-
sary.
