Tire Pressure
f
Beforeoperating,checktire pressure.Referto the tire sidewallfor
exacttire manufacturer's recommended or maximumpsi.
NOTE:If the tire pressureis not equal inboth tires,the unitmay not
travel in a straightpathand the shaveplatemaywear unevenly.
ADJUSTMENTS
Skid Shoes
The snowthrowerskid shoesare adjustedupwardat the factoryfor
shippingpurposes.Adjustthem downward,ifdesired,prior to operat-
ingthe snowthrower.
Forclose snow removal o n a smoothsurface,raiseskid shoes
higheron the augerhousing.
It is not recommended that youoperatethis snowthroweron gravel
as itcan easilypick up and throwloosegravel,causingpersonal
injury or damageto the snowthrowerand surroundingproperty.
Usea middleor lowerpositionwhenthe area to be clearedis
uneven.
NOTE:If youchooseto operatethe snowthroweron a gravelsurface,
keepthe skid shoes in positionfor maximumclearancebetweenthe
groundand the shaveplate.

Toadjust the skid shoes:
1.
Loosenthe six hexnuts (threeon eachside)and carriagebolts.
Moveskid shoesto desiredposition.See Fig.8.
2.
Makecertainthe entirebottomsurfaceof skid shoe isagainstthe
groundto avoidunevenwearon the skid shoes.
3.
Retightennutsand bolts securely.
