Shift Cable
If the full rangeof speeds(forwardand reverse)cannot
be achieved,referto the figureto the left and adjustthe
shiftcable as follows:
1. Placethe shiftleverin the fastest forwardspeed
position.
2. Loosenthe hex nuton the shiftcable indexbracket.
See Figure10.
3. Pivotthe bracketdownwardto take up slack inthe
cable.
4. Retightenthe hex nut.
5. Checkforcorrectadjustmentbeforeoperatingthe
snowthrower.
Chute Bracket Adjustment
If the spiralat the bottomof the chute directionalcontrol
isnot fully engagingwith the chuteassembly,the chute
bracketcan be adjusted.Todo so:
1. loosenthetwo nutswhich securethe chutebracket
and repositionit slightly.See Figure11.
2. Retightening the nuts.

Skid Shoes
Thespace betweenthis shaveplateand thegroundcan
be adjusted.For closesnow removal,placeskid shoesin
the lowposition.Use middleor high positionwhenareato
be clearedis uneven.
1. Adjustskid shoes bylooseningthe four lock nuts
and carriagebolts and movingskid shoesto desired
position.See Figure12.
2. Makecertain theentire bottomsurfaceof skid shoes
are againstthe groundto avoidunevenwearon the
skid shoes.
3. Tightennutsand bolts securely.
