1. Observethe lowerarea of the snowthrowerto be
surebothcables are alignedwith roller guidesbefore
pivotinghandleupward.
• Pull up and backon upperhandleas shownin Figure
1. Alignupper handlewith the lowerhandle.
2. Securethe rightsideof the handleby tighteningthe
plasticwingknob. Securethe left side of the handleby
tighteningthe plasticwingknobintothe eyebolt.See
Figure2.
3. Makesurethat the flangekeepersare opened.
Positionthe chute assembly(forward-facing) overthe
chutebase. See Figure3.
4. Closethe flangekeepersto securethe chute
assemblyto the chuteadapter.Thekeeperswillclick
intoplacewhen properlysecure.See Figure4.
NOTE:if the flangekeepersdo noteasilyclick into place,
usethe palmof your handto apply swift,firm pressureto
the backof each.
5. Removetheflat washerand hairpinclip from the end
of the chutedirectionalcontrol.
a. Insertthe end of the chutedirectionalcontrol into
the lowerbracket.
b. Securewith the flat washerand hairpinclip just
removed.See Figure5.

6. Checkthat all cablesare properlyroutedthroughthe
cableguide on top of the engine.See Figure6.
Theextensioncord is fastenedwith a cable tie to the rear
of the augerhousingfor shippingpurposes.Cut the cable
tie and removeit beforeoperatingthe snowthrower.
