20 Setting t heRemote to Operate aCable B0x/DBS
Your'FV/VCR remote control may operate your Cable BoyJDBS.
If the remote control doesn't operate your Cable Box/DBS now,
follow the steps below to program your remote control.

Turn on your Cable Box/DBS. Point the remote control at your
Cable Box/DBS and press the CABLE/DBS
button.Then,
press the POWER button. If your Cable Box/DBSturns off, try
the other Cable Box/DBS buttons (see pages24-25 for details). If
your Cable Box/DBS doesn't turn off, or if the other buttons don't
work, go to step 2.
Find the brand of your Cable Box/DBS on the lists below
and, remember
the two-digit number beside it.
