Howto Start YourPressureWasher
To start your pressure washer for the first time, follow these
instructions step-by-step. This starting information also
applies if you have let the pressure washer sit idle for at least
a day.
1. Place pressure washer near an outside water source
capable of supplying water at a flow rate greater than
3.3 gallons per minute (12.5 liters per minute) and no
less than 20 PSI (1.38 BARS)at pressure washer end
of garden hose. DO NOTsiphon supply water.
2. Checkthat high pressure hose is tightly connected to
spray gun and pump. See Assembly section.
3. Make sure unit is in a level position.
4. Connect garden hose to water inlet on pressure washer
pump.

NOTICE
DONOT run the pump without the water supply connected
and turned on.

5. Turn ON water, point spray gun in a safe direction and
squeezetrigger to purge pump system of air and
impurities.
6. Attach nozzle extension to spray gun. Tighten by hand.

7. Engage trigger lock (A)on spray gun trigger.
8. Movethrottle lever (B) to "Fast" position, shown here
as a rabbit.

9. Move choke lever (C) to "Choke" I",1 position.
NOTE:For a warm engine, be sure the choke lever is in the
"Run" l_tl position.
10. When starting engine, position yourself as
recommended and grasp starter grip handle and pull
slowly until you feel some resistance. Then pull rapidly
to start engine.
WARNING
Starter cord kickback (rapid retraction) can result
ll_
fin bodily injury. Kickback will pull hand and arm

toward engine faster than you can let go.
Broken bones, fractures, bruises, or sprains
could result.
• NEVERpull starter cord without first relieving spray gun
pressure.
• When starting engine, pull cord slowly until resistance is felt and
then pull rapidly to avoid kickback.
• After each starting attempt, where engine fails to run, always
point spray gun in safe direction and squeezespray gun trigger
to release high pressure. Engagespray gun trigger lock.
• Firmly grasp spray gun with both hands when using high
pressure spray to avoid injury when spray gun kicks back.
11. Return starter grip handle slowly. DONOT let rope
"snap back" against starter.
12. Whenenginestarts, slowly move choke leverto "Run" I Jtl
position,as enginewarms, if enginefalters, move choke
leverto "Choke" I"_1position,then to "Run" I Jtt position.
13. After each starting attempt, where engine fails to run,
always point gun in safe direction and squeezespray gun
trigger to releasehigh pressure.Move choke leverto
"Choke" I",1 position, and repeat steps 10 through 12.
14. if engine fails to start after six pulls, move choke lever
to "Run" I Jtt position, and repeat steps 10 through 12.
NOTE:Always keep the throttle lever in the "Fast"
position when operating the pressure washer.
