SETUP Menu

To adjust Antenna: input A/B, press the MENUbutton when
Antenna: input MB is highlighted
to switch between the two
antennas. Details are on page 41.
Note: Press the ANT (Antenna) button on the master remote controlto
switch between antennainput A and B. Antenna B appears with the
channel number display when you are watching the input from antenna
inputB.
To create a Priority channels memory scan list consisting of up to
six favorite channels, use the +, -, and MENUbuttons.
The on-
screen help menus will guide you through creating a priority
channel scan list. When the Channels: normal/priority
function is
set to Channels: priority on the MAINMENU,pressingthe CHANNEL
up or down button will only scan through the channels you have
entered in the
PRIORITY
CHANmenu. Press the MENUbutton when
the PrioriW channels function is highlighted
to display the
PRIORITY C HANmenu.

To program the Scheduler, use the +, -, and
MENU
buttons.
The
on-screen help menus will guide you through programming
the
scheduler.

The Channel
memory function allows you to add or erase
channels from the channel memory scan list, turn SAP on or off,
turn parental control on or off, and add or erase channel labels.
Details are on pages 30 and 47-50.
• The Scan List: in/out display allows you to add or erase
channels from the list of channels the TV stops on when you
press the CHANNEL up or down buttons.

• The SAP: off/on function allows you to receive SAP (Second
Audio Program)
when available and broadcast in your area.
Details are on page 30.
• The Parent Ctrl: off/on function allows you to lock out any
channels that you do not want your children to watch. When
the Parent Ctrl: off/on function is set to on for any channel, that
channel cannot be accessed from the front control panel of the
TV. You can still access this channel from the remote controls_

• The Label and Erase Label functions allow you to add or erase
labels (names) for each channel. The label you select will then
appear on the screen whenever the channel number is displayed.
Details are on pages 48-49.
To adjust the Clock set function, use the +, -, and MENUbuttons.
The on-screen help displays will guide you through setting the
clock. The time and day-of-the-week
display will then appear on
the TV screen whenever you turn on the TV, change channels, or
press the TV or DISPLAY button on the remote control.

To AutoProgram your TV, press the
MENU
button when
Autoprogram
is highlighted.
The TV will automatically
cycle
through all channels and place only active channels in the channel
memory scan list. The TV will then only stop on the channels in
the scan list when you press the CHANNEL up or down button.

To change the VCR/cable setup function, use the +, -, and MENU
buttons. The on-screenhelp menuswill guide you through
changing the VCR/cablesetup function. This function allows you
to program to which channel the TV will automatically tune when
you
press
the VCR1, VCR2, or CABLE button.

The Cable/air function tells your TV whether you have a cable-
TV system or home antenna (air) connected to the antenna inputs.
Your TV is so automatic that you will probably never need to
change this function.
When your TV autoprograms,
it
automatically
adjusts the Cable/air function foryou.
If you ever
need to override the automatic setting, press the
MENU
button
while the Cable/air function is highlighted
to change it.
The Auto help: on/off function lets you turn on or off the help
messages that appear on the bottom of the screen whenever a
menu is displayed.
Press the MENUbutton when the Auto help
function is highlighted
to turn the help messages on or off.

• Select Auto help: on when you want the help messages to
automatically appear whenever a menu is displayed on the "IV
screen.
• Select Auto help: off when you do not want the help messages
to appear.
