Sets the type of AA batteries

used in the camera.

The default setting is

[Auto-detect].

Select [AA Battery Type] in the [_ Set-up 3] menu and

press the four-way

controller (•).

The [AA Battery Type]screen appears.

Use the four-way

controller (• • )

to select a battery type and press

the OK button.

When set to [Auto-detect],

the camera will

automatically

detect the type of batteries

being used.

Press the MENU button.

The screen thatwas displayed before selectingthe menu appearsagain.

When the type of batteries being used is different

from the item you Selected;

the battery level will not be Correctly determined:

Make sure that the Correct

battery type is selected

in the [AA Battery Type] setting: Usua!ly,

there is no

problem

using [Auto-detect].

However

in tow temperatures

and when using

batteries that were stored for long periods

of time, set the appropriate

battery

type so the camera can correctly

determine

the remaining

battery level:
